I watched a YouTube video by Art by Swarez as part of my research to inform my own abstract painting. His process is quite simple but very effective, using layered acrylic paint and a squeegee to pull colour across the surface. I am particularly drawn to the way he arranges his colours and allows small areas of brighter tones, such as yellow, to sit between darker colours.

What I like about this process is that it does not rely on complex tools or techniques. It feels accessible and experimental, allowing the paint to move naturally and create unexpected patterns. I plan to use this approach in my own work, focusing on colour relationships, layering and the natural blending of paint. When creating my own acrylic piece, I will listen to Clair de Lune.
