Walking home more blues and yellows
Walking home more blues and yellows
I may not have fully captured the vividness of the deep royal blue sky against the fallen warm yellow leaves on the ground, but to the naked eye it was striking. The way the colours popped and complemented each other felt almost painterly. The cool depth of the blue sat beautifully against the warmth of the yellow, creating a contrast that felt both calm and energising at the same time.
The reason I took this photo is because of the artist J.M.W. Turner and his use of blue and yellow throughout his work. He often placed warm golden light against cooler blue tones to create atmosphere and drama. Seeing this combination in real life made me understand more clearly why those colours appear so powerful in his paintings.
