List of music that moves me

Broaden the music

For the next stage of my painting, I decided to branch out with the music I listen to while working. I realised I could not stay focused on just one piece, Clair de Lune. Instead, I began listening to music that genuinely moves me.

I find that the music which grips me the most is soundtrack music. I love watching films and often feel fully invested in the music that supports the story. Two soundtracks in particular that resonate with me are Avatar and the animation Inside Out. I find it difficult to explain exactly how they make me feel, but there is a strong emotional connection when I listen to them.

Because of this emotional response, I feel drawn to paint while listening to these soundtracks. I can only imagine that new marks, colours and feelings will naturally emerge through this process, guided by the music and the emotions it creates while I paint.
