Caught in the light

These photographs feel quiet, atmospheric, and slightly magical.

I stepped outside to put the bins out and noticed the tree branches in my front garden glistening in the night. The floodlight in the background was catching the rain droplets, lighting them up and making them sparkle. It felt like a small, quiet moment that could easily have been missed.

The focus is on the delicate branches and fine strands holding the droplets of water, while the background falls softly out of focus. The distant lights create a gentle glow, adding depth and atmosphere to the image. Although I do not feel the photograph fully captures just how beautiful it looked in that moment, it does hold the feeling of stillness and calm I experienced while standing there.
