 Using Pro Create to trace

I have created 15 layers on acetate that I have scanned and emailed to myself so I can work on them in Pro Create. I have used Pro Create before but it was quite a while ago and I am not familiar with it so I had to watch a few videos on YouTube. Below are some before and after photos out of the 15 layers I created. They show how I tidied up the line drawings by lowering the opacity of the original drawing, then tracing over it on a new layer. Looking at the finished tracing, I may have to make the lines thinner somehow as they might be to thick when going through the Trotec software that's used for laser cutting. I had this issue with the lines being too thick with the test pieces.

I want to use the vines I created on my previous page for my main piece. I wanted to create a simpler test piece to see how it will work. This link will take you to the process of my  paper cutting  for the lightbox. I am going to move forward with laser cutting my layers as it will cut the layers out alot cleaner and quicker than by me using a scalpel. I need to figure out how I will sketch up the different layers. I'm not sure how I will line up all the layers. Maybe I can use tracing paper so I can see how the layers line up.

Professional Practice Talk Talk 1 - Tom Hackett It was really interesting how Tom took us on a journey through his work. The first thing up on the screen was his CV, which started off as a list format and then spiralled on a journey of organised chaos that he navigated us through. I found Tom's work and journey really inspiring. Like the huge hand-knitted coloured net that covered the building above. "You have to go to the world.... The world won't go to you" I really like this quote above from Tom because as a working artist, you have to push hard and grow a thick skin to get your work out there. Along the way, you will hear a lot of no's. Tom is a successful artist, not just from his skill as a creator alone but because of his can do attitude and his likeable personality. An example of how Tom goes above and beyond was when he stayed awake on a small rowing boat for 24 hours. He collected water samples from along the river Severn in Worcester to then create this...
