Experimenting with BandLab app - Collection FMP

 Bandlab app and layering vocals

I was introduced to Bandlab by Marita to record the thoughts. Whilst I'm waiting for friends and family to finish writing their 2 week journal of thoughts, I want to experiment with recording a couple of my own thoughts and get the hang of layering the different thoughts together.

My plan is, once I have gathered the writing journals from friends and family is to randomly piece them together to make an audio track. I want it to sound as though you were walking down the street and could hear random thoughts from people who pass by you. Ideally, I want some to sound like they are in the distant background and others to sound in the foreground. I also want to have ambient music playing to create a dramatic effect.

I experimented with bandlab. I need to think about where I am recording as my voice was bouncing all over the place and I sounded really echoey.

Below is the link to my first attempt at recording.

Speaking to a friend, they told me to look into sound loops and volume panning.
